The Sanyang Village Development Committee (VDC) has emphasized that GACH Global Mining Company is the only mining entity contributing royalties and significantly supporting the Sanyang community. Over the years, GACH, which specializes in mining black and construction sand, has demonstrated a robust commitment to corporate social responsibility through various initiatives.

The company has paid the government royalties and directly supported communities such as Sanyang and Tujereng. For example, in January 2024, it donated D500,000 to the Sanyang VDC to enhance horticulture and healthcare services.

GACH has also financed several projects, including constructing a D2.8 million police station in Sanyang and a D900,000 maternity ward. Additionally, the company has provided solar-powered boreholes and donated solar streetlights valued at D1.2 million to enhance safety and beautify the area.

Furthermore, GACH has supported women’s gardening projects, mosque renovations, sports tournaments, and various communal activities, pledging to continue increasing its contributions. Abdoulie Gaye, the chairman of the Sanyang VDC, praised the company’s dedication to social corporate responsibility, stating, “Since mining began in Sanyang in 1947, GACH is the only company that has financially benefitted the community of Sanyang. GACH has invested millions in Sanyang.”

He added that the community plans to officially inaugurate a maternity ward constructed by GACH Global, valued at over D900,000. Mr. Gaye noted that the VDC is fully responsible for implementing all the projects supported by GACH.

Leaders of the Sanyang VDC and community members have consistently lauded GACH for its transparency and commitment, contrasting it with other mining companies that have not offered similar benefits.
