The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) and Vista Bank Gambia Ltd. have formalized a three-year sponsorship agreement to support the domestic men’s first-division league competition.
The partnership, signed on Wednesday, commits Vista Bank to an annual sponsorship of 2.5 million dalasis over the next three years. Key representatives from both organizations attended the signing ceremony at the Bank’s head office on Kairaba Avenue. Lamin Kaba Bajo, the President of the GFF, and Mr. Eric Obeng Saah, the Managing Director of Vista Bank Gambia Ltd, officially recognized the agreement.
During the event, President Bajo lauded the agreement as a pivotal step toward professionalizing the domestic men’s top-flight league in anticipation of the 2025/26 season. He expressed optimism regarding the partnership’s ability to address some of the Federation’s financial challenges. “This milestone reflects our unwavering commitment to elevating Gambian football,” he remarked, hoping the collaboration will further strengthen.
Mr. Eric Obeng Saah, Managing Director of Vista Bank, described the partnership as long-standing and mutually beneficial. He emphasized the Bank’s commitment to developing football infrastructure in The Gambia and praised President Bajo’s open-door leadership style, which has encouraged collaboration. In conclusion, Deputy Managing Director Alkali Bah reiterated his MD’s sentiments, highlighting Vista Bank’s eagerness to contribute to the advancement of football in the country.
As part of this sponsorship agreement, the men’s first division league will be officially titled The GFF First Division League Vista Bank Baluwo Official Partners, heralding a new era for Gambian football.
