URR Police Command engages with the community in Basse Kobakunda

On January 14, 2026, the Upper River Region Police Command hosted a community outreach event in Basse Kobakunda to improve police-community relations.

Key attendees included Regional Governor Samba Bah and District Chief Saiba Krubally. Concerns about criminal activities, such as arson and theft, were discussed. Both the Governor and Regional Commissioner of Police, CP Yerro Mballow, emphasized the importance of public cooperation and information sharing.

CP Mballow also urged landlords to monitor tenants and addressed parental negligence in youth crime. The engagement concluded with a commitment to enhance collaboration for a safer Upper River Region.
