A 64-year-old tourist from New Mexico, Juliana Gle Tourneau, was tragically killed by an elephant during a safari drive in Livingstone, Zambia, marking the second fatal elephant attack on a US tourist in Zambia this year, following the death of 79-year-old Gail Mattson from Minnesota in Kafue National Park.
Gambia Revenue Authority (GRA) ends the Zambia study tour
GRA recently concluded a benchmark visit to ZRA, funded by IMF ARFITAC WEST 2, to learn from ZRA’s digitalization. Led by Chairperson Lucy Fye-Jagne, the delegation explored e-tax strategies, IT infrastructure, data management, and compliance at ZRA, aiming to enhance GRA’s operations. Commissioner General Yankuba Darboe expressed confidence in improving revenue collection efficiency and formalized collaboration through an MoU.
